As part of Quest’s community outreach, we held TaeKwonDo classes for all Alta Vista elementary students from Pre-School to 5th grade during their annual Field Day. There is no better way to start the day at 8:30 in the morning than to be greeted with the enthusiasm and energy these kids have. Each class was about 20 minutes long, ranging from 20-50 students per group, and there is nothing more rewarding to our instructors than to have everyone eagerly participating in the lessons and drills!

Let’s take a look…

Welcome to Alta Vista Elementary’s Field Day!

One way of showing the grace embodied in TaeKwonDo is to have a student perform it!

With instructions from Master Vargas and Master Bobby, assisted by RJ Moore, Sachi Moore, Zach Vargas and Zoe Vargas— these students learned basic hand techniques (middle punch) and kick (front kick)

Let’s say “Tae-Kwon”!

Now let’s say “Tae-Kwon-Do”!

Line up Kids, Kick those Paddles and Show Them what You Got!

This has to be the best Field Day for these Alta Vista students… One-on-One Paddle drills and Board-Breaking!

At the end, the teachers awarded one student with the most enthusiasm in the group, a certificate for 4 weeks of TKD classes with a free uniform!

We would like to thank the Alta Vista Elementary Parents Teacher Association for giving us a chance to share the art of Taekwondo to all Alta Vista students. We look forward to coming back for the same event next year.

Whether you’re 4 or 64, we have classes and programs for all age groups to suit your specific goals — whether it’s physical fitness or the ultimate journey to become a Black Belt.
